I retired from a successful career in Engineering in the UK and Overseas, and I found I needed something to fill my time and satisfy my creative needs. I had a fairly basic DSLR which was always used on automatic mode, and for holidays. So I decided to try and make the most of the equipment I had and learn to use it properly. I joined two local camera clubs and took good advice, and signed onto an online editing and camera course during Covid (2020) and was encouraged by my peers to qualify with the Royal Photographic Society and the Guild of Photographers, where I gained my photography qualifications LRPS, and QGP. In 2023 apart from all the individual photography awards I was a top 10 finalist in the Founders Cup with the Guild of Photographers and won 2 Photographers bars in Wildlife and the Open Category. I've also had my sea eagle shots Published in Major Newspapers and a landscape photograph published in a book. September 2024 I was awarded my Associate qualification in Natural History (ARPS) with the Royal Photographic Society. In December 2024 I gained my Guild of Photographers Qualification Craftsman CrGP in Natural History Panel. The rest as they say is history and I hope you enjoy viewing my assembled photographs.
